With no IC Hotels group property in Sweden, I had to revert to my previous favourite hotel programme, which I still held a Gold card with, namely Starwood, and booked a weekend stay at the Sheraton. This is based in a great downtown location, very near to the bridge across to Gamla Stan (the old town). I received an upgraded room to the SPG floor and the room was very well laid out, functional and welcoming. The mini-bar and room service, as is typical for Stockholm, were extraordinarily expensive.
